Anyone given any thought to the character they want to play? I am going to roll randomly and play that, but perhaps others want to discuss ideas? For example The Jolly One is going to play a tank of some kind due to rationalization that he makes, Jarek is going to play some off the wall character with more quirks than normalities, Corvus I have no idea what Corvus will play.

We will be doing 5e, a point buy system, 3rd level, any race in the phb (drow included).
In addition, if you find a source for character options that is Wizards of the Coast sanctioned for 5e ,you can use them. Examples are: Pre-made adventurers, supplemental books, unearth arcana articles on wizards website.
Any questions, go nuts.

Drew is waiting on a gift of characteroftheday dice to randomly roll his character. However, everyone is free to start working on a character, posting what you might like or will be playing.
Everyone create your character with the already mentioned rules. You also have 300 gold for your individual character.
Once people have worked that out, I'm going to give some "party funds". (Sound familiar drew?)
The whole guidance I can give on the world and what you guys will be up to is this:
You are a part of a group, perhaps larger than yourselves, maybe not, regardless, your party handles "anomalies". Interpret this as you will, but you've been called in to deal with a nasty troll, a spellbook that came alive, and other sort of things. You're adventurers, obviously, but you guys specialize in handling strange problems most people can't. You aren't mercenaries or thieves (least outright), but kinda like Ghost Busters, Monster Hunters, Scooby Doo and The Gang. That sorta thing.

I like the sounds of this so far. So 300 gp per character but the party has x funds which you will use to supply us with other gear, such as healing potions, rope, a tent, horses etc?

So as I've said I'm playing whatever I randomly roll. Raven I believe is 100% playing a wizard, Eric is playing either a tank, a melee, a healer or something else. Jolly Eric is playing.... and have we heard from Rudolph?
