Couple of things
1) I nor Eric spent the 300 gp mention in character creation, we just used the equipment listed during character creation. i assume we should either have 300gp or spend it?
2) do you want us to come up with a description for the land vehicle...type of land vehicle etc?

As for #1...assume no magical equipment...or are minor things such as potions acceptable?
For the vehicle...I think it'd be cool if we had a chariot, assuming it could hold us all
If not I'm cool with a carriage, cart, "boat" with wheels

How about if the transportation is a cartbeetle?
Cartbeetles are enormous insects that were bred long ago in the southern kingdoms to serve as forms of transportation. When they breed, An enormous sac forms inside of them. When the sac leaves their body, due to their eggs hatching, the cavern remaining serves as an ideal carriage. There is an open space near the front to control the beetle with reins, and the sac can fold down in the summer to leave behind an open top. the interior is hardened, not unlike wood, and ridged along the edge, forming comfortable seats for passengers. there is room for about six travelers, plus the driver.
Cartbeetles eat plant matter.

Well that idea is just pure awesome matt. I don't even care if it fits the world, is too magical, or whatever else. You come up with gold like that, ya get it.
