"I will return shortly, I am going in search of an Herbalist. Maybe there is something we can give her to slow the spread of this vile magic." Cade runs out of the building in search of an herbalist. As he is running searching for the shop, Cade thinks about if he knows any plants that might slow the spread of or inhibit magic.

Jarke takes out his hammer, "I think Pearl is changing into some kind of malevolent insect-like creature. Jarek help us all!"Jarke readies an action to cast spiritual weapon for if/when she turns. {Spoiler}
Perception/Insight Roll to determine if I think she is past the point of return to ever change back to her good old self. If so, he will attack.

Lucy heads to the center of town looking for the well. Once she arrives she will check it over for any sign of what may have caused this. If she sees anyone hanging around she will inquire if they saw anything. |

Alain leaves and goes looking for someone capable of Dispel Magic. It pays attention to anyone who looks like they may be a wizard or magic user, and also asks locals it there are any magic users in the area. {Gather Information}

Fox, as you head down stairs, you hear Fil and Zimmy arguing in the kitchen. Fil seems to be contending that he owns everything currently in the black mariah.
Jarke, you are 50% correct, as the others leave, pearl turns more and more into an insect like creature, eventually taken the form of a golden jeweled scarab, the size of wolf.
Lucy, you find the well and see little lucy peering down into it.
New well...pearl must have dug quick, water already.
You look down to see water about 5 feet down, but its really dark beyond that.
Alain, you are directed to a apothecary/magical compenent shop. Inside you stumble upon donnie and lorah striking some sort of deal with the owner. They seem surprised to see you.

Jarke is astounded by what happens before his eyes. While he was considering smashing Pearl to pieces in mid-transformation, he doesn't want a sullied reputation if she could have been saved. That's exactly the opposite of what Jarek would want. If people think that all Dragonborn are mindless smashers, that will only hurt Jarke's cause. What kind of prophet wants that?
So instead, as she finishes her transformation, Jarke abandons his plan of death by hammer and instead quickly looks around for exits (windows, other doors to rooms, etc.) before hopping outside the room, closing the door with her inside. While he doesn't know how smart this scarab is, he hopes it will just chill in the dark, cozy room like a roach until the others get back.
Outside the door, Jarke also would like to brace the door. If anything is within 15 feet of the door (such as a chair or nightstand), Jarke will attempt to get it to wedge the door closed. Depending on how things go, Jarke may attempt to get someone's attention downstairs if no one is alerted already.

I just got here, but Markel said he talked to Pearl today about the well. I like stopping by his shop, its full of magic!
She looks back down into the really really dark well.
Wait, what happened to Pearl....is she down there?!
Zimmy and Fil argue for a few seconds, ignoring you, but suddenly Zimmy slams his hand over Fil's mouth and turns quickly towards you.
Wait, whet dez eet that happeened te Pearl?! No fineer healer in town, then I thenk yer Jarke would be
Fil struggles mightily, but removes Zimmy's hand from his face...he's got that same stupid grin.
Heuh...hwhat Happ'und? Nuttin too bad I hope...Hate ta run this dump full time...heuh.
Jarke, Pearl the Scarab seems frightened, not hostile. You speak some calm words to her, and she seems to understand, but has no way of communicating back. You tell her you're going to look for help and to stay put, but still...things could get worse, so you easily manage to brace the door.
When you peak down the stairs, you see Fox talking with Zim and Fil.

Jarke speaks quietly but directly downstairs in the direction of the group aforementioned. Not unlike trying not to wake a baby from slumber.
"So, um... Pearl's not doing so hot."

Lucy I can see you are a bright girl and there is no use in trying to hide the harsh truth from you. Pearl is not down the well but I do not know what has happened to her, but she is in trouble. Can you bring me to this magic shop...Markel's shop? On the way you can tell me about some of the magic he has in his shop! Come Lumi we must make haste!

"Hmm I have just thought of an interesting idea. Jarke has Pearl stabilized? If so I have a plan. Is she still in the room?" Assuming that Jarke says yes, Cade heads back into the room and looks at Pearl and speaks in a calm tone. "Hey Pearl, we are all doing our best to figure out what is going on and trying to help you out. If you can stay calm I want to try something." Fox studies Pearl for a minute and tries to figure out if he can shift into the creature she has become. {Spoiler}

9 + 3 = 12
If Fox can identify Pearl he will try to shift into that form and communicate with her.

Jarke appreciates Fox's attempt to communicate with the Pearl and gives Fox his blessing. If Pearl appreciates it less and attempts to escape, Jarke prepares to cast a hold person spell, if Pearl is eligible inside her shiny exoskeleton.

Alain gives the pair an arched eyebrow, then bows formally to them. He says nothing but waits for them to speak, so they may conclude their business with the man in the shop.

What's wrong with Pearl? I thought she dug the well?
Markel's shop is mostly just potions and components for spells...and a few magical trinkets. Supposedly he has magic items, but he keeps those tucked away from curious hands.
Lucy and Lucy make their way over to Markel's and find Alain inside, staring without expression at the most curious trio.
Lorah and Donnie are standing awkwardly next to an old elfish looking human, with silvery hair filled with several braids. The old elf-blood slowly pulls some parchment off the counter and out of sight.
May I help you?
Fox manages to transform himself into a curious looking beetle like creature, the details are a bit strange, as you are new to this morph, there's a bit more fur than one might expect, but it works.
You are able to communicate at a very base level with Pearl. You can tell she is frightened and confused, but your aid is helping calm her fears. Through a bit of effort, you and Jarke realize she can understand Jarke. (or Fox is normal form). You think her mind was so shocked and horrified by her transformation, that she couldn't understand her surroundings, but with you calming her, she is better able to interact.
