To AlainAs you Finish up your breakfast, Jarke heads over to a table of three men playing at cards. The druid seems interested in talking with someone who claims to know the master huntsman for King Arlmiter. Zimmy tells you Pearl is still asleep, when suddenly she comes down the steps. Her well worn tendons creak with each step, but still her calf and forearm muscles are taught with vigor. Dark-hued bags hang below her eyes. Lucy, Lucy, and Lumi head inside the Black Mariah to get some eats.
Lucy Lightbringer orders whatever Little Lucy wants plus something small for herself.
"You have training later today? What kind of training?" Lucy's eyes light up as she asks, "Are you going to be a wizard?"
She leads them to the shadiest unoccupied corner and Lights it up so they can sit there.

While Jarke had initially expected to play just one hand and return the coins, he decides to continue after his previous hand seemed to be guided by the hand of Jarek. Plus, this is an opportunity to maybe increase his reputation and get a bit of information at the same time. That, Jarke thinks, and these guys are alright. I mean they're scum, but at least they aren't the worst scum, probably have a lot of connections and do more work in the shadows. If they begin to tell others in back-alleys of Jarke, perhaps the word of a prophesized dragon-born will spread like wildfire.
Jarke probes the gents as cards are played, but when a hefty lady enters he turns his head. "Who's the human?" he asks with a thumb pointing towards Pearl.
([) spoiler=Dungeon Master (])
I assume the 3 give a fairly accurate, if not a bit exaggerated for flair, account of what you previously wrote about Pearl. Jarke will continue to play cards with the men and try to find out more about the town until some other situation presents itself
Also I clearly am failing at spoilers, I tried what I did previously and it failed, I'll do what I can to figure it out a bit later

To Lucy
Oh...me? A Wizard? No *giggle*. Just normal kid lessons. Writing, reading, sums. Thank you for breakfast, but I better get back to mom. Good-bye Lumi!
As your eyes follow young Lucy skip out of the Tavern, you notice Alain talking to a strong woman past her prime. You also notice a picture that looks like it could be the woman's daughter hanging above their heads.
To Jarke
After a few hands, you slowly grow the interest of the men about Jarek and his amazing tales. While they might not go out preaching in his name, you definitely think they might share a story or two.
You also gather that these three are just traveling through. There is tales that the King of Mog might try to seize an eastern stronghold, but he wants to use mercenaries. They'd be Mercs, and so they are hoping to fetch work.
That'd be Pearl. Owns the place

"Bye Lucy, nice meeting you. Lumi says bye too, we hope to see you again!"
Lucy and Lumi head over to where Alain is at the bar. "You're right Lumi he is probably talking about how great shadows are for brooding. He just sat on the cartbeetle when we cast Light on it...I can't believe it either, poor guy doesn't know how great The Light is...one day he will see, one day it will dawn on him..."
They arrive..."Greetings Goodlady, May The Light guide your path."

Alain looks at Pearl but ignores the line. You may not remember me, Pearl Vanren, but our paths have crossed, however briefly. It stood beside my master, the Wizard Ingram, when he helped facilitate your acquisition of this establishment.
He waits for a moment to see if recognition hits her. When he disintegrated Karlo Galt.

"King of Mog? Why do you suppose that is?" questions Jarke to the three. "I suppose I'm not too familiar this part of the world. What interests does he have in the Eastern Kingdom that he would only want to use mercenaries, and not his own people, for?"

Cade looks over the man, trying to gain any insight into his intentions. "Now why would you ask a question like that, not that it is any of your business" Cade responds.

To Fox
I'm trying to find some folks that know the woods real keen to the east. Need some good hands to clear a path, figuratively speaking.
You show or feign interest and he discloses a bit more information.
King Arl is hoping to swoop around from the east and put pressure on the Southern Kingdom from two sides.
Pearl speaking to Alain and Lucy
Thank you for that illuminated blessing.
Oh, yes yes, I remember. I never did get a chance to thank him. He just skulked out of here, as is his way, so I hear. How is your Master, Ingram you said, right? Still kickin I hope. Have you left his tutelage?
Zimmy points out that the four of you all sorta seem to be together, coming in near the same time.
Good time to be in Yoleven. Business for adventurers should be picking up. Give it a few days, play some cards, eat, drink, be merry as it were. I'm sure soon you'll find yourselves crawling through some deep dank dungeon.
To Jarke
Not for knowing. Don't really care either. We been looking for some work too long now. I'd off my granny if it got me some scratch at this point.
(You are welcome to continue your conversations, ask questions, etc. However, unless the players have something of import to attend to, I'm going to fast forward the action next post.)

Officially it's mine, but I like to think of it as the Town's inn. Place nearly runs itself, I just guide it. Mariah's switched hands so many times, I think it more appropriate to consider it owned by the people of Yoleven.
That doesn't mean I don't have to pay the bills and sort the cash.
She finishes the rest of her coffee and walks around behind the bar.
Need another drink?

"Ah yes I could do with ah...one of those" Lucy points to whatever the cheapest drink is (assuming nothing has any Light type word in the name, in which case she buys one of those)
"So what type of work do, ah, adventurers, normally do around here?"

Somewhere in there Alain thanks Pearl for her help, mentions that his master, as far as he knows, still breathes, that he is now off on his own, and is indeed looking for work of an adventurous nature with his companions, and is glad to know it will soon present itself. He then looks around at his companions, to see if any of them are engaged in the kind of activities that might lead to leads on a job of some sort. {Spoiler}I roll a 7 for Perception
If I don't see anything I go back to consuming my meal and drink.
