Before any of you can finalize a decision, Pearl snatches the scarab from your hands. Her eyes immediately glow a bright orange, and she makes a unworldly shrill click over and over again...perhaps its laughter. She presses the scarab against the underside of her thorax, where it seems to meld in place. It pulses bright yellow three times, then fades.
Pearl turns her hungry gaze at the three of you...

Cade will ready his action to turn into a Brown bear if pearl takes a hostile action towards the group. He will then try to grapple and pin Pearl to restrain her if he can grapple in bear form. Otherwise he will growl to get pearls attention and try to soak up some attacks while the others can try to restrain her. {Grapple check}
19 + 4(Brown bear str) = 23 |

Jarke doesn't want to hurt his friend, but won't surrender his life for his.
Jarke closes his eyes and lo and behold! Jarek's Warhammer materializes from the ether above Jarke and with a flash of light, it begins hovering by his side! (Spiritual Weapon)
Jarke does not attack...yet...but he sends the hammer into melee range with Pearl to prepare for what may be the inevitable.
"Pearl, you're stronger than this beetle, don't let it overcome you!"
