Lucy's method of searching him is to hold her lit staff near his hands, clothing and face, either thinking The Light will show any falsehoods/cards or the man will break under the intensity of The Light and admit to it. She strangely says nothing during her actual search of him, but occasionally will make little sounds to herself, what they mean only she knows.

Jarke pats down Donnie, feeling for any additional weapons or perhaps contraptions (investigation roll). When he gets to his dagger, Jarke whispers into his ear. "Nice Magical dagger buddy, nothing that'll help you cheat I hope"
investigation roll= 3 + 0 = 3

Donnie whisper's back to Jarke Just a Luck charm, not so sure if it's good for me or bad for othersHe winks quickly at you. Lucy you pass your staff over his face, on both his wrist/sleeves, and down each of his legs and your light doesn't change a bit. You turn back to Pearl to relay what this signifies when Lumi suddenly hovers over towards the man's chest, turns red, and begins to pulse. Donnie laughs and is about to say something but stops abruptly when Alain whispers a few Arcane words and inky blackness swirls around his wand as he stares daggers at the handsome cardshark. I'll admit it. I have no idea what that signifies says Pearl staring at Lumi.

Also, fox...you find a hidden flap in his backpack...with a staggering amount of gold stored in an extra dimensional space.

After finding the flap, Cade motions to his companions and informs them about his find. "So Donnie, you claim to be lucky, but even if you are, this seems like more than luck would provide for."

Lucy pauses as Lumi starts to pulsate in a color not her norm. "What Lumi...are you sure? Okay I'll ask them." She turns to the men claiming Donnie is a cheat and asks them, "When this man beat you, what made you think he was a cheat? Did he consistently win with a similar hand?"

The inky blackness I swirl is the preparation of a Chill Touch spell. If Donnie or any or the other men does anything to break the peace, I will cast it on them.

Jarke decides to take a different approach and states loudly for all to hear. "Can anyone vouch for or against this man. Mayhaps someone who knows him, mayhaps the lady over there?" Jarke gestures towards the attractive female on the other side of the room.

The woman at the bar seems surprised to be called out in the middle of all this.
Oh, uh....well, I can certainly vouch for his good looks. she says with a grin.
The mercenaries converse a bit among themselves a bit before Rory speaks up
Nothing sticks out. Just, he seemed to always win when it mattered, and fold when it didn't. Too lucky if you ask me.
Donnie rolls his eyes at the men, then looks at your party for clearance to speak his mind. Given no outward resistance by any of you. He says in a charming voice.
I never said I am lucky. I'm skilled. That gold you see, I've won gambling all over Arcanos. I've only known one other person better than I at cards and that person passed most, not all, of their skill to me.

Donnie shifts back and forth on his feet then slowly slides a finger down a chain around his neck to pull out a a locket.
It is a locket. It contains a personal remembrance to a loved one.
As everyone is intently staring at Donnie it is rather easy to discern his outwardly displayed emotions.

Pearl seems very interested in the matter, something beyond business, as she too is staring at Donnie, but she doesn't say anything.
There's a moment of uncomfortable silence, when suddenly, Rory lunges towards Donnie pulling his weapon.
Well, if you all ain't gonna do something about this dirty cheat, we will!!!
